“Worship is God’s gift of grace to us before it’s our offering to God . . . . Worship is our humble, constant, appropriate, glad response to God’s self-revelation . . . that’s why biblical worship is God-focused (God is clearly seen), God-centered (God is clearly the priority), and God-exalting (God is clearly honored).”  (Bob Kauflin, Worship Matters, pg.177)

“Speak to one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs.  Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord.”  (Ephesians 5:19)   We strive to pursue this verse as we prepare the music portion of every worship service.   “Psalms” are songs that reflect God’s Word; “hymns” are songs that reveal the majesty and glory of God, and “spiritual songs” are songs  which tell what God has done for each of us personally and our response to Him.

We seek to minister to all in our congregation through the use of both traditional music sung with their traditional melodies and new contemporary songs “making every effort to keep the unity of spirit through the bond of peace.” (Ephesians 4: 3) These are the goals that we pursue as we seek to honor God through the songs we sing at Faith Bible Church.
