Our History

In 2006, a few families who had already been gathering for Bible study, worship, prayer, and fellowship formed Faith Bible Church of Pampa. The name was chosen to represent the kind of lives we live as followers of Jesus Christ—a people who strive to be grounded in the scriptures and who trust in and depend upon Jesus in everyday life.

Our pastor, Worley Kennedy, was called to serve our fellowship on a part time basis at about the same time. Soon thereafter, an elder board was formed, a purpose/doctrinal statement was drawn, and a permanent building was purchased at 205 North Cuyler. Eventually, as the fellowship grew in number, Worley became the pastor full-time.

The emphasis of Faith Bible Church is placed on the expository study of God's word, which is elevated in worship and central in application of its truths for our lives. We seek to embody this "truth" as we walk in the "grace" and "knowledge" of Jesus Christ. Through dependence on Him and the working of the Holy Spirit who dwells within all true believers, we make it our aim to embody truth and manifest grace to one another and to those in the world who are lost without God. This is our purpose: to embody truth and to manifest grace.

Since 2006, we have formed prayer groups, bible studies, Sunday morning classes for all ages, a nursery for young children, a Sunday evening service, and a "twice-a-month" Wednesday fellowship/study group. We have a relationship with and support several missionaries.
